The Time It Never Rained

Regardless of which side of the global warming issue you’re on, this drought is bad.  It may be the worst one on record, but that’s not to say we haven’t had our share of “dry spells” in the past.  One of my neighbors, the late Elmer Kelton, wrote about the drought of the 50’s and it’s impact on the people and the land he knew so well.
